Hello all...

Just a (possibly off-topic) question about Microsoft Certification.

I'm considering going to school for possible Microsoft MCSE + I
certification. But I'm not sure if this is where I want to start or end up.
If I may, let me share my interests and see of some on the list could give
me some guidance.

I consider myself an "Intermediate" computer user, as opposed to beginning
and advanced. I have installed hardware (modems, memory, CD changer,
monitors, other, proprietary hardware); installed and uninstalled scores of
software titles; am somewhat competent in MS Office applications; regularly
am on the Internet where I feel myself to be an "intermediate" to "advanced"
user; have somewhat of a reputation among friends and co-workers as
knowledgeable about computers and so am occasionally asked to help and I
will also "volunteer" to help those with computer problems; have worked in
DOS but it has been some time ago and was only moderately competent; enjoy
computers and computing immensely as well as being on the Internet and
helping others diagnose and repair their computer problems.

Although I think I would like to program I feel that would be quite a
stretch for me at this time and so see myself more as, say, a Help Desk
Technician or something like that. And I think it would have to be within
the Windows framework simply because I'm most comfortable with that.

Well, perhaps this information is not as complete as it should be but I
really look forward to hearing from those of you who, perhaps, are MCSE + I
certified as well as others with similar "skills."

Thanks in advance for your help.

Brian
