By what I see I suspect that AOL's Instant message program is somehow
related to your concern. Now that AOL and Real Networks are embedded into
their software no tell what might happen.

Did you install AOL? Was it a part of the package from your ISP? There are
times an ISP will give you an install disk that includes things you may not
want or need.

One option would be to investigate MSCONFIG to see what processes are
running. You get there buy clicking on the start button and then depress
run. Type in "MSCONFIG" without the quotes and go to the startup tab and see
if anything from AOL or Real Networks is loading. This may or may not help
however it is a logical place to begin.
