I'm with Charter. A few months ago, they sent a letter to all subscribers
stating that they had made upgrades to their equipment and that we would be
upgraded at no extra charge, (for now I imagine). A week later, I went from
1.7MB to 3.2MB.

I've checked with several test sites and get the same answer.

IMHO, I don't believe this makes much difference... unless you have a real
crappy one.

Spyware, Viruses, File Sharing Programs, etc (on your end)

Server software and new equipment (on their end)
