Greetings--

I have experienced a similar problem several times when setting up a network
where the AV is "pushed" from the server. In each case, the culprit has been
either the Windows firewall, or my failure to include the IP address range
of the LAN in ZoneAlarm's (even in these LANs, I prefer to use ZoneAlarm
because of its outbound communication alerts) trusted list. Have you
investigated the possibility that a firewall may be impeding communication?
(I know the network setup wizard is supposed to accommodate this, but it
sometimes bears looking into.)

Subject: [PCBUILD] Network Setup Wizard

Network problem with 1 of 4 computers. It's definitely not a hardware
problem, as I'm currently online... I just can't create a network on this 1
computer. The other 3 are networked fine.
When I run the Network Setup Wizard on this one, I get this error:
"Cannot complete the Network Setup Wizard. An error occurred during
configuration of the network on this computer. You can configure your
network manually, or you can run the wizard again with different settings."
I have checked for virus in safe mode, nothing. I can ping my other
computers from this one, but can't ping the problem computer from the
others.
Windows XP Pro with IE 7
Any suggestions.
Jim Dirksen
