Hi Bob,

Your request is liable to spark a heated religious debate. I have played
with both (not, unfortunately, on my own machines - I could only afford a
lowly GeForce 4 MX 440). I'm afraid, however, that I am now and will
probably always be biased towards the Nvidia cards. That said, the ATI
product is still very competitive. They had a long way to go to overcome
gamers opposition against using their cards for hard core gaming, and the
Radeon Pro cards were the first serious challengers. The new "FX" cards
from Nvidia trump ATI's latest offering, but they are still neck-in-neck in
the race. Personally, I will go with Nvidia every time. Even if that means
waiting a little bit if ATI gets ahead of them in the competition. That
doesn't mean that ATI doesn't compete strongly at every price level.

I know others will strongly disagree with me. That's o.k. Like I said, it
can be a religious debate. Nobody is necessarily right; but neither is
anybody necessarily wrong. And frankly, I don't care what the benchmarks
say. The proof is in the pudding, which means we decide by how the gameplay
is (and not just with the demo running).

Good Luck!

Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds
discuss people.
