You should still hurting for what went wrong, that very likely to be on
software side.

But play a single game 5 hrs straight (or few games) can never proof there
is no hardware issue. eg. I used to have a GF-MX card before, it worked fine
(run 3Dmark, never crash, corruption, ... you name it) with some of my most
played games - include both OpenGL and DirectX based games, but it showed
problems (sometimes crash back to desktop, sometimes freez ...) with other
games like Jedi knights 2, Scrifise ... when I changed to another GF-MX card
(same brand, same mode, and as I check, even same revision, same bios), all
problems were gone.

PS: I used to play more than 5 hrs straight at weekend before.
