I am trying to upgrade computer for my friend.
It used to be IBM Aptiva2168M40 with Pentium 75 mg, 8mb of RAM, 1 GB HD and
windows3.1. He upgraded it to 40 MB of RAM, and Win95 (through IBM).
Everything worked...

He was not happy with performance and he bought WD 5 GB hard drive,ActionTec
internal V90 modem and Win98. I have installed HD and Modem and I did full
install of Windows 98. Everything works well and fast, except for sound. We
don't want to install MWave drivers because they conflict with his new and
better modem. I am searching IBM web-site, but have not find anything useful
yet... We tried a few Sound Blaster drivers, but nothing worked.

Is there a way around? Will any other Sound Card drivers work? Is it possible to
install just audio drivers for MWave? I do not have any experience with MWave
and will appreciate any help.

TIA,

Eugene Khayutin
