Unless you want to keep Real Player, you can simple go to "Setting", "Control Panel", "Add/Remove Programs", Click on "Real Player", then click on "remove" and uninstall the blasted thing.
I have no clue how to just disable on startup, but leave Real Player on your system so that it's usable.
