Good Evening All:

Can anybody that's been keeping up with hardware news in the online rags
tell me if the soon-to-be-released Pentium IV processor line will be
supported, through BIOS upgrades, on Intel's desktop board D815EEA
(incorporating the i815 Solano chipset) ???

I've got a just such a board running an 866 MHz Pentium III right now and it
delivers really outstanding performance. My only concern is for the future.
The P3's architecture has pretty much run its course on headroom, and I'd be
extremely disappointed to discover in the next six to nine months that my
machine had no processor upgrade options other than P3s at 933 MHz and 1
GHz.

As always, thanks in advance for your help and thoughful comments.

Kind regards,

Jeffrey Ottie
