It's likely that she's added a "temporary" wireless connection that's
moved itself to the top of her list. Look for the wireless connection
details and remove the one she was using at her daughter's house.

>  hi... my sister is having a problem connecting to the internet on her laptop using Vista home premium...all was working ok before she spent two weeks visiting her daughter where she was also connected with no problems...when she returned home she couldn't connect and i've tried everything i can think of to solve the problem...when i hover over the connection icon in the task tray it says "access:local" or at times it says "limited connectivity" ...my own laptop always says "access:local and internet"....she connects using a cable modem which is brand new and she has a d-link wbr 1310 router...if i plug her cable modem directly into the laptop she can access the internet so that would seem to eliminate a problem with her cable modem...i also tried another router but the same problem existed...i am thinking of formatting and reinstalling windows but using XP instead of Vista but i'm not sure that this would fix the problem...would anyone know what the problem is or how to fix it....thanks muchly...Gary.
