Many large computer stores will have a RAM testor. I was thinking that such
a device may be able to provide some information on the kind of RAM being
tested, especially if they include SPD. SPD stores basic parameters onboard
the memory to aid motherboards in setting the proper configuration for it.

Subject: ram

Hi listers,

I have a bunch of ram sticks that probably came out of dell towers creat=
ed around 1997, most i think are 64 or 128 kb and pc100
Does anyone know of a web page that can tell me what these ram sticks are=
as the stickers have fallen off and I am trying to determine them based=
on the numbers on the chips. I have only fond one page after looking t=
hought many search engines and the page is not very complete. I do not w=
ant to try just putting them in my machine, as I have already caused smok=
e twice on different machines and different sticks and I am afraid I wil=
l damage he machine.
