It is absolutely possible.  In fact, Windows XP (and 98se I believe) has it
built in.  It's known as Internet Connection Sharing, or ICS for short.
However, you may want to consider using a Router/Hub combination.  There
are several benefits, one major one is that you don't have to leave a
machine on all the time to allow other machines to access the internet.
