But is this because of the inherent nature of a motherboard with
integrated peripherals or because most such motherboards are lower-end
in design and construction or possibly because they are chosen because
they are cheap and, as a result, are not as well-engineered?  There are
lots of factors to be considered.  The trend is to integrate all
functions into as small a space as possible which should eventually lead
to all common peripherals being integrated as well.
