According to the manual there is a dipswitch for choosing on board memory or
using shared memory. Make sure you pick the approate setting for your
situation. That would be DWS2 switch number 5. This is on pages 19 and 20 in
the manual. This manual can be downloaded if you don't have it from:
http://cgi.asus.com.tw/cgi-bin/dl.asp?filename=mb/sock370/sis620/me-99/me99-
103.pdf
The on board Graphic chip set can also be disabled allowing you to add a
regular PCI graphics card.

Subject: [PCBUILD] motherboard video

Asus ME-99B motherboard has an SIS video (agp) included on the board. I
have activated this video but can only produce 16 colors. (appears to be a
lack of memory) All dip switches have been set according to the motherboard
book. The driver was properly installed with the accompanying CD. I can
ask for 256 colors or hi color but it will reduce itself to 16 colors on
restart. Using win98 op system. Any ideas?
