I need to other input. I have exhausted what I know to try myself. I am using a D-link D-604 Broadband router connected my XP machine with my 98se Machine. If the XP sits dormant for a couple of hours, it drops my cable connection. This requires me to reboot the XP machine to reestablish the connection. However, the 98 machine never loses it connection, no matter what happens to my main XP. I have tried a variety of settings. I tend to think that it is an XP issue, rather than a router issue, since 98 stays connected. I turned off Free Surfer pop up program, regularly run search & destroy, and turned off ZoneAlarm for now. Any suggestions would be so great. I am very tired of rebooting my computer every few hours! Thanks!
