Hi Roberto

I understand your concern, but there's not much you can do
about it. Make sure the motherboard is on a flat surface so
it doesn't bend downward when you push down on the socket.
I have heard that a small piece of wood (used between fingers
and clip) might protect your fingers and help control the clip
while you do this. However, make sure that your fingers (or
the wood) don't suddenly slip off the metal clip and damage
something on the board.

Be sure to put a tiny dab of silver, zinc, or silicon based
thermal conducting compound (or thermal grease) between the
CPU and the heat sink. Use as little as possible ...just enough
to fill the microscopic air gaps between the CPU and heat sink
caused by imperfections in the surfaces. Since it's a FCPGA
processor, you only need to worry about the approximately one
centimeter square area in the center of the chip package.

Regards,
Bill
