Hi,

I have two mainboards (Amptron) with cpu's one Super TX3 with Pentum
MMX 200MHz which is working (the cpu core voltage is set at 2.8 volts).
Is that where it should be?

The other is the same basic board with a TX-Pro-II chipset and an AMD
K6/2 300MHz which I haven't been able to get to work. It booted up with
my old HD OK the first time and I installed the other perephials and it
ran good for severl hours then I got a blue screen (don't recall what is
said). It won't even boot with a windows boot disk now. It won't even
get put part of the way thru extracting the cab to the ramdirve before it
quits. Some times I get just the cursor and sometimes it says
A:\0.

I took the AMD K6 300 out and put the Intel 200 in the same system
and it works fine.

On the AMD chip is says:
AMD K6 2/300AFR-66
2.2V CORE/3.3V I/O
A 9850FPMW
The chipset is TX-Pro-II. You can see this mainboard at
<http://www.cponly.com/txproii.html>

The jumpers on the board with the above AMD are set as follows:
66MHz External Clock
4.5X Internal Clock
3.3 volts Core Voltage (on J6)
This is how the seller set it up (I think he may have done the 3.3 Core
voltage wrong)
What should the settings be for this CPU?
If it should have been 2.2v, may the 3.3v have damaged the cpu?

Thanks very much in advance
