  If the uplink port on the 10 Mbps hub is 100 Mbps, then this should
work -- but it probably isn't.

  An auto-sensing hub actually implements two physical segments, one at
10 and one at 100, usually with a "bridge" (specific networking jargon)
between them.  You might be able to find a stand-alone bridge to
connect non-autosense hubs together.
