I think I have tracked my USB problem down to the fact the PCI USB card is
sharing an IRQ with one of the network cards. From what I can gather from
various sources, USB doesn't like to share.

Now the headache. I can't change the IRQ setting in device manager for
either the USB or the NIC. I get the error message "This reasource setting
can not be modified." Any suggestions how I can resolve this conflict?
