Tough luck Tony...  Pretty odd though...

I think the USB case manufacturer is using the old "general"
advise (which I used to adhear to) that a drive works
best in the "box" it was formatted in.  This was a "rule of thumb"
back in the old days (DOS 6.2  to Win95, etc) when there were
slightly different translations used in the MBs (or controller card)
hardware for the HDs.  (Not counting software DDOs at all..)

The HDs would eventually look the same to the OS(s), but
if a HD has switched to a different controller, (or MB) there
"could be" subtle different in the translation of the bits...
(This would lead to what looked like corruption of the data...)
