I have never been able to get ICS to work on my XP, Win98 network, even with
the help of people on the list. I get as far as the client asking for
service and dialing the modem, then a "No Gateway" message and server not
found DNS error. I found the Gateway icon in Accessories/Communications, so
you might look to see if it is there. You might also try the XP ICS
troubleshooting wizard.
There are several detailed web pages where you might look for help:

I continue to have problems trying to get a windows 95 machine to be able to
asscess the internet via a windows XP machine with ICS. Bothe machines see
each onter on my little network and sharing files is no problem.. only the
internet connect... The XP machine connects to the internet fine via a cable
modem.
On the 95 machine, I get a error message 'unable to create a network socket
connection whenever I try to access the internet. Hope someone can help me
figure this one out and get it fixed
