HI,

Socket 370 boards will be more difficult to find than a socket A board,
so any board you find that runs those chips will be a good find, at the
right price. Problem is the new stuff runs so much better at much less
cost, than years ago.

The 933 chip will run at 133 bus speed and the memory you have is
probably PC100. Right now S-drams are out of sight.
And if you have to get different memory, then go all the way to DDR and
new board and chip.

New boards for AMD and Intel SN processors can be found for as little as
$40 and new chips can be had for $30+
You may have to change the power supply though. Without looking up your
board, I don't know if it is I an AT or ATX case.
I assume it's an ATX. Speaking of which did you try a different power
supply?

Thanks and have a Great Day!

Joe Lore

Hello,

Back in 1999 I relied on a lot of help from PCBuild subscribers in
assembling a computer from scratch.

Specs were 300Mh Celeron overclocked to 450Mh in a Asus P2B board.

Board has apparently died as it will not go to POST. Tried removing and
replacing battery. Or could this be the CPU rather than the board?

A friend has has an Intel P3 933Mh CPU for me if I can find a board for
it. What 370 socket board would you suggest I try to find for this?

Likewise he has an AMD Duron 1300 if I can find a board for it. Again
which socket A board would you recommend I try to find for it?

Thanks in advance for your help.
