Terrence,

I have owned a 5L for about 3 years and run it with the HP LaserJet IIIP
drivers (just FYI). Anyway, I've noticed that unless the paper-feed tray is
at least 1/3 full I, too, have multiple sheets feed through. Try keeping
the tray at least 1/3 to 1/2 full and see if that helps.

        Brian

Subject: [PCBUILD] HP LaserJet 5L & 4L problems

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either the HP
laserjet 4L or 5L printers. We have several of these printers on campus and
they all have the same problem (At the start of the printing process several
pages are advanced instead of a single sheet, causing a paper jam) I've
tried cleaning the main pick-up roller with Alcohol and fanning the paper
before loading, but nothing seems to work. This problem occurs whether I
load 5 pages or 25 pages. Thanks in advance.

Terrence
