Peter,
I am in agreement with Mark. The Sony dual format burner is a fine piece of
hardware. It is well received by the hardware gurus and is not much more
expensive than the lessor known brands if you look for a deal on the net.
I've only had mine for a couple months, but so far it's been a dream. Part
# for beige is DRU 510 A.....add a K after the A for a black bezel kit but
be prepared to pay about 20 bucks more for the privilege. (Assuming you are
looking for an internal drive.)

As Bob mentioned, use an RW to test your compilation before burning a read
once copy.....it ain't a walk in the park in many instances. and those
coasters cost a bit more than a CD-R.

Good luck,
Michael
