Having those three entries sharing IRQ's is normal. The master controller
runs the whole show, and the primary and secondary controllers handle
their respective IDE channel, sorta like a store manager delegating
responsibility to two assistant managers and keeping an eye on both of
them. As for the error message, my best guess is improper jumper settings
for master/slave on the drives in your primary IDE channel, or a bad or
misconnected ribbon cable. You may also check into the driver programs
for your HDDs and see if something is amiss there. A bad line in your
registry, boot.ini, or win.ini may also throw things. The earlier
suggestion about checking for an NOIDE line may be what the doctor
ordered. Best of luck with things.
