The e-mail fix still is a hoax... most viruses now spread with their own
email clients! Most viruses today are intelligent enough to see this
address trick too. Instead, download a antivirus program, a trial version
or one for free like AVG at http://www.grisoft.com or F-PROT
http://www.f--prot.com, and then keep them updated weekly. Another thing we
should all have is a good firewall program. ZoneAlarm is a good one that
scans email attachments with an option called "MailSafe". It will
quarantine dangerous downloads that come with your mail, an extra level of
protection. They have a free version of their program too at
http://www.zonelabs.com/. There is no excuse now to avoid protecting your
computer. I would not want to rely on a configuration trick when my data is
at stake, would you?
