I have found that the Global DOS Memory Manager from McAffee Nuts and
Bolts is an excellent replacement for Microsoft's MemMaker program. When
used in conjunction with the rest of the Nuts and Bolts suite, I have
seen big improvements in running speed, and memory usage patterns. I
myself run Win98, but a friend of mine still runs Win95 OSR2, and now can
use Win95's pure DOS mode to run DOS games, instead of relying on a boot
floppy. Hope this information helps.
