Do you mean 71% memory free, or resources? Resources in Win9x are fixed, and
not directly related to the amount of RAM.
Use Ctrl-Alt-Delete to see what programs are running at startup. Some
programs are subject to "memory leaks" and can cause this type of behavior.

I recently had more RAM installed and now have 320MB. Ihave a Pentium 3 450
13 GBcomputer. But now the computer only has about 71% free when fresh boot
is done and gradually diminsishes through out the day. Sometimes going so
low that computer freezes on shutdown. Lastnight only had 33% free before
shutting down. Had not run any large programs,basically only the internet.
Have taken all programs off the task bar that aren't required on startup. I
hope someone can give me a clue as to what is happening. I didn't have the
problem prior to getting the new RAM and it was tested as being good.
