Hi List Members,
I am having a strange problem with a customers machine.
I can't get it to boot from a boot floppy. The machine is a
HP Vectra VL2 4/66. The floppy drive is setup and enabled
correctly in the Cmos and the drives works just fine in Win 95.
I have tried several different boot disks with the same result.
I have replaced the drive and the drive cable. The drive will
read and write in Windows and in a DOS window in windows.
I can run a Dos program from the floppy in a Dos window. If
I boot to Dos and try to run the same program I get a
"Drive not ready message". If I disable boot from the
harddrive in the Cmos the system asks for a boot disk then
hit any key. At this time the drive light comes on for a moment
then goes out and that is it.
Any ideas would be appreciated and tried. :)
Best Regards,

Bill Griffith
