Trusty Asus was replaced with an Abit which refuses to recongize the
sound card or modem.  Nothing was replaced, except the mobo, not even
the case or mouse.  They are both PNP [Zoltrix and Opti] which
although in the lower performance range, have never given any problems

Should I reinstall win95?  Does it need that to 'initialize' the mobo?
