Hi Peter,

I recenly got that model, and it has worked well so far, I have burned CD-R,
DVD-R, DVD+R and CD-RW without any problems. I use Nero (comes bundled with
it).

Plextor has always been a good brand (but a bit pricey).

It's time to get a new DVD burner. I would appreciate some recommendations.
One that I am considering is the Sony DRU710A (also as OEM DWD-22A).
Experience with compatibility issues in reading CDs would also be
appreciated. My current DVD burner works well, but is is slow by today's
standards, and it has issues in reading some audio CDs.
