     Hmm, there are a few possibilities. First make sure com2 is enabled. Go
to device manager and make sure com2 is there, and if it's there make sure
it doesn't have a yellow exclamation mark. If that is all good, do you have
an internal modem? Is it ISA? It's possible then that it is using the same
IRQ as com2 (IRQ3) and is conflicting. Best solution is to move one of the
devices to another IRQ. Now if that is all good, have you confirmed the port
as working with another device? Hope this helped. TTYL
