Yesterday my notebook, Sony VAIO, P3, slowly heated up in the left front corner - an area about 4x3. The underside was almoist too hot to touch. I shut down, raised the front slightly to allow more ventillation. Same problem. Last night, it was quite warm, not hot. Today, back to normal.

Maybe coincidentally, this was first noticed by the tech who had just instgalled my new Roadrunner. (Terrific!) He used the USB port (a question re that will follow in another post.) I wish I could say for sure whether the problem occured before this - I believe it did, but the heat was not as dramatic.

Am I headed for a big problem, or was that some kind of anomaly?

Rob
