The worse case scenario is that you damaged the motherboard or even just
slightly stressed it during the move...  and the motherboard is ruined.

Another issue could be a compatibility issue between an I/O card in
the bus slot that is causing the issue.  The best thing to do is remove all
but the video card...  then boot from a floppy disk with a mouse driver on
it.  You should be able to get the mouse to respond with just a basic
DOS driver on a boot disk... then, add back in your I/O cards until
you find the problem.  We have a couple of DOS mouse drivers in our

Start from scratch and get the mouse to work with a bare bones system
and slowly put it back together.
