Hi gang,

I have a Intel I430TX Chip set Pentium system board with a 200 Meg K6 processor.

I work in the fire alarm industry and we sometimes have computers interfaced
with the alarm system for various control and graphic functions. We are starting

to address the Y2K issue, and as such are going to soon be upgrading some
existing installations where the BIOS and RTC are not compliant. Some of these
existing computers are 486's, so you can see that the processing power required
is not very much.

My question is, if I was to purchase a new IBM E3U computer, (which I believe is

350Mz), could I swap that processor onto my I430TX board? The reason that I
mention IBM in particular is that my customer seems to have a preference for
IBM.

I thank you in advance for any and all help on this issue.
