Susan,

A couple of things come to mind about your new problem. Did you ISP change
modems ( no longer supporting x2)? Did you add a new phone to you phone line
your using to access the internet? Can you tell any new noise on the phone line
while you are talking? How long has it been since you check your in-house phone
wiring ( this is the last thing to check but if you live where I live corrosion
and ant attacks are a very real problem)? You certainly can reinstall your
drivers and see if that helps but also check the other items. In my case I
discovered that my best phone drags my 49k connection down to no higher than 42k
if I leave it plugged in.
