Sometimes you "need" to use a serial mouse and plain keyboard to install
an OS and/or when in DOS. Rick Glazier

I have a SOYO (SY-7IZM) motherboard that doesn't see the mouse or the keyboard. During the POST it beeps and gives the message
Keyboard error or no keyboard present. Switching to a USB kryboard will get me into setup and was able to start installing windows98
se, got as far as the prompt for Name and workplace, stays on the name line. The USB mouse doesn't work at all. Changing batteries
didn't have any effect. Any ideas would be appreciated
