I have an HP E9180T that is about 18 months old and has been reliable. Suddenly today it appeared to "lockup" while I was away and the monitor had gone to "sleep". The computer itself appeared to be awake, based on the lights but when the moved the mouse which usually wakes the monitor I got a nod signal error message. I cycled the computer off then on but it doesn't get past the HP boot screen. Simultaneously I can hear 4 clicking cycles (HD?). Is it likely the HD is hung?

Thanks,
Bob Warasila
