On my system, this key seems to bring up a menu item list of common tasks. I
have not used this key, but tried it after your post. The action of the key
depends on your current active window. If now window has focus, then it
brings up some of the task bar options. This is not an authoritative
response to your question, but just an observation of my machine's behavior.
I run Windows XP Pro.
