I had a similar situation but with internal EIDE drives as a stripe set. In
my install, I was just experimenting and loss of data was not a threat.
However, I could not get the stripe set recognized after a re-install of NT.
If there is a way to do this, I too am interested in knowing about it. I
gave up on stripe sets as being too risky. Sorry that my words are not
encouraging ones.

The problem is, NT recently had to be reinstalled. It detected the
internal drive, along with its two partitions and file systems, and also
detected the external drives, but although it knew the size of the
partitions on each drive, it couldn't detect that they were NTFS, much less
striped sets. Is there any way to set these drives up as striped sets again,
without losing the data on them?
