Probably the problem you are experiencing is related to the fact that the
HP 820 Csi printer is a Windows only printer and the drivers that are
supplied only work with the specific version of Windows (95, 98, NT).  As I
understand it, the printer actually uses some of the Windows operating
instructions to do it's printing.  HP was able to save a few bucks somehow
doing this but it does limit the printer to Windows.
