When the modem board is inserted in any slot, without the phone line
connected, the video display dims to the point of having to turn down the
room lights to see it.  All is normal when the modem board is removed.  I
can, perhaps understand if it happened with the modem *inserted*, but
this problem only occurs with the board *removed*.

Suggestions/ideas?
