Two things:

First - from your System devices, uninstall the Floppy Drive.

Then, restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup.  The first screen
will be something like Basic BIOS Settings.  Towards the bottom of that,
you will see an entry for your floppy drive.  Make sure to set that to be
3-1/2" 1.44 Drive.  Then, exit the BIOS setup, making sure to save your
settings and restart your machine.  Windows should see and install the
correct drive upon restart.
