  FireWire is sort of like a faster version of USB; designed, I think, to
challenge SCSI.  Presumably, you'll need to install a FireWire adaper card in
your PC for the camera to connect to.  Since these start at about $230, the
combination is likely to be more expensive than cameras using other interface
methods.
  [Although I have not yet actually bought one, I'm inclining toward Sony's
"Mavica" line, which uses 3.5" floppy disks.]
