HI;
The sockets referred to here are the sockets for the processor. They started
at one and are now at 7. Socket 4 was used for the first Pentium P 60 and
66. The sockets have different configurations for the chip. They can also be
called zero insertion force(ZIF) sockets. Because they require no force to
insert the chip into the socket. If you want more on this feel free to
