Mea Culpa! I forgot to connect the 4-pin P4 power connector. Once that was
done, everything started working as expected. Thank you for your help.

In general, I have had no trouble using PCI video cards on very recent
motherboards, include 3Ghz P4 Xeon based ones and AMD Athlon MP based ones.

Another thing to check are the lock lights on the keyboard (caps, num,
scroll), most motherboards will flash these during POST, another indication
if the MB is alive. If you don't get any activity on those, it would
reinforce that the MB may be bad.
