I wont to reformat my XP home edition system. I have reformatted windows 98
many times, but have no experience with XP reformatting. I have read several
articles & became confused. One said I needed to know my file allocation
system. Another said I may have to re-activate XP. I have the info to avoid
this step. My question is, will reformatting XP be equivalent to 98? Both
computers are Dell's.

Computer I wont to reformat:
Dell Dimension 2400
Windows XP home edition
File allocation NTFS

I am not having any problems, I am one of those neat freaks that like to
reformat & start with a fresh running system.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. This is a task I am determined to
complete.

Thanks in advance for all your help,

Maxi
