I posted this message last week but haven't gotten any replies. Does anyone
know of a restore solution from a USB hard drive?
Thanks, Bobby

Subject: [PCBUILD] USB disk Restore Software

I asked a while back about a backup solution for a Micron laptop pc. Bob
Wright suggested a USB enclosure and hard drive. We purchased one and my
supervisor is trying to get it set up. He has done the backup but can't get
a restore to work. I have included his message below.
TIA, Bobby Herring

I need help.
I have our evaluation USB hardrive setup and connected to the laptop, but I
cannot find any software that will allow us to restore a backup after a loss
of all data on the laptop's internal hard drive. There is a ton of software
that lets us do backups........but they all (so far) attempt to do a
disaster recovery with DOS.......and DOS has no drivers for accessing USB
devices so the software can't find the backup to restore with.

I have tried about a half dozen software programs and I have researched many
more. I know there is software out there to do this.......I just can't find
it.

Can you help me by finding the software? I know there is at least one
software program out there that does what we need because I remember reading
about it when we were first talking about this USB disk idea..........but I
can't find it now.

Help !!!!!!!!!!!!
