I said I would write back after doing the upgrade from the Intel sb440bx/Celeron 400 to the ECS k7som+ /Duron 1.2g kit..... all I can say is WOW! The only hang up was that the sb440bx was in an AT case, and the k7som requires an ATX. Picked one up with a 350v power supply and two front mounted USB ports for another 25 bux and was up and running in about two and a half hours (tine to do a clean install of XP. Works like a charm!

If the processor/ mobo combo fails anytime soon, I'll write back and let you know, but now that I know how easy it is, I would recommend building a pc over buying one pre made any day!

My thanks to those that sent me the input.
