I use a printer cable on each computer and which ever one I Want to use --I connect it to the printer. It takes less than 10 seconds to connect the computer to the printer.

Used printer cables are cheap ($1 at goodwill stores) and there is no need to open the computer to set up a nic card and no configuration to mess with.

Just connect and disconnect a cable. I sometimes use three computers in this way.

I want to connect my two computers so they can use either of my two printers. Can someone give me an idea how to do this without using a router.
